There is something very special that comes over you from the very first time you are out in that evening air setting up your gear with great wonder and expectations in what images may come from it. The experimentation, the level of creativity overwhelms you with freedom from whatever might be happening in your life. It literally brings the kid out of me because it's just so much fun. Unlike photographing in the daylight in which you know pretty much how the images will develop, your evening images are always a surprize and nothing short of exciting....

I am very interested in joining one of Harolds night photography workshops. Thanks so much Suprada for sharing and hope to meet you out there.

Wonderful interview and Great answers by Harold.
I look forward to his Night Photography book when it comes out as that is Definitely one area I would like to persue.
I can definitely identify with his changing moods and coming back to a previous project with renewed vigor.
I also have felt the bond with Artistic Painters and have always wished i could be one
so I think I try to paint or as they say "Write with Light" and I like Harold's
never ending search for new ways to go about this and to continue to feel fulfilled.
I also like his attitude about teaching and his respect for his students.
I hope some day I can take one of his Night classes...
Thanks for asking Harold to do this interview..
